Haylie and Mehtab

  • Full Planning

This couple holds a special place in my heart. Haylie and Mehtab hired us to help them plan their wedding in June 2024. Based in the US, and planning a wedding in Vancouver, they placed so much trust in us to ensure we are able to support their vision and guide them as they are unfamiliar with who to contact for their events. Communication is always key but when your couple is in a different country all together, it is even more crucial you are responding to them and letting them know of any updates. This was also a fusion wedding, and so there were a lot of customs that were unfamiliar to the bride and her side of the family, which is why we did our best to explain each custom and ritual, what it symbolizes, and guiding them through each one. My biggest goal with this wedding was to make sure the bride was not stressed, and felt supported. After seeing the success of the first event, and how on time and smooth it went, it really eased her nerves, and the families’ nerves and everyone was able to enjoy all of the events. Each couple holds a special place in my heart but Haylie and Mehtab have become friends and that’s just the cherry on top.

Navjot and Paul

  • Month of Coordination

They say you never forget your first..and they were right about that. In October 2021, Navjot and Paul were our first ever clients after our transition into the wedding planning and coordination specialization. Navjot and Paul hired us to coordinate their reception/one year anniversary right after COVID! They hosted their big day at a helicopter hangar of all placees which was one of the most unique venues I’d ever worked at. Planning an event at a venue that does not focus on events primarily comes with a lot of challenges and considerations you may not have to think about when you book at a banquet hall or hotel, but it brings a whole other level of charm and individuality when done right. Being a helicopter hangar, it is not set up for catering, bar, etc. and so all these aspects must be outsourced and come with a plan on where to set them up, and make sure they have power, and every thing they’d need to successfully fulfill their job. Not only that, but everything you bring in, all needs to be brought out at the end of the event. As such, it’s important and extremely useful to have someone like a planner or coordinator onsite to make sure all this is being managed, which was our job. We had an amazing time in handling the logistical components, and setting up things like the cake and cupcake centerpiece, party favours, entrance table, informing catering where they set up, helping the bar and appetizer stations get sorted, and ensuring the layout was as discussed. If things were short or missing, we went out and grabbed the necessary items so that the event ran seamless and everybody enjoyed themselves. We could not have asked for a better first experience and a better couple to work for, thank you for placing your trust in us Nav and Paul.

Chandan and Hardeep

  • Month of Coordination

Chandan and Hardeep hired us for their summer wedding in June 2022. Together, we did site visits of both the wedding and reception spaces to see where we would want to set up the different vendors, and décor items. Going to the venue physically with the couple, I find to be extremely useful and ensures everybody is on the same page. Chandan was super directional, and knew exactly what she wanted and how, which makes communicating it to other vendors that much easier! From organizing the baraat and milni in the wedding, to arranging the processional into the reception hall, we ensured the families felt informed and confident. Organizing the grand entrances for both wedding and reception are such key photographic moments, and we time everything with the DJ, photo, and video to ensure everybody is in place to capture that spectacular moment. We make sure the aisles are clear and stay out of frame so that the couple gets the perfect moment.

Simran and Gurkaran

  • Full Planning

Gurkaran and Simran had contacted us to help them plan their proposal and soon after, asked us to help them plan their wedding in June 2022. From finding unique venues, and scouting the right vendors, we worked together in creating their vison and ensuring it came out the way the wanted it, in budget. We started planning a year out, and slowly were able to bring everything together. It’s important to decide at the very beginning of the planning process, what is most important to you that you wouldn’t want to compromise on, and what you are willing to compromise on. This also helps in noting how the budget will be divvied in order of importance. During the various events, we coordinated directly wit the vendors, informed them on the start and end times, and location of where they would be setting up. The couple simply spoke to us about their wants and we communicated those out. By the end of the reception, Simran and Gurkaran were elated as to how well all their events turned out and were finally able to relax and enjoy their newlywed life with their honeymoon.

Hiranya & Alex

  • Month of Coordination

One of our sweetest couples, Hiranya and Alex hired us for their wedding ceremony in August 2022. Together, we did a rehearsal at the venue to find the best spot for the ceremony, run through how they would enter the ceremony space, and scouted a couple back up options just in case. Sure enough, on the big day we had to pivot to one of the alternative spots due to venue requirements. Because of our earlier planning, this pivot was smooth and easy to coordinate. Guests were guided and greeted by beautiful music by the musicians and it was a dreamy and romantic set up. We coordinated the bridesmaids and groomsmen walk in to the specified music, the bridal entrance to her song, and ensured all guests were comfortable by providing fans and arranging the seating so that then got maximum shade the hot summer day. Wi h the extra roses from the bouquets, we wanted to make an even bigger impact for this beautiful couple, and not only were we able to create an aisle for them, but we also used the extra petals to form a dance floor for the couple’s first dance, and we were so happy that they loved it. Everything ran right on time, and Hiranya and Alex are living happily ever after.

Raeya & Jason

  • Month of Coordination

Raeya and Jason were our beautiful couple in October 2022. They had reached out to us to coordinate their Chinese ceremony as well as their reception. We were given the privilege of decorating their guest tables, welcome table, head table, as well as the party favour table. Alongside this, we created and managed the timeline and structure of the day, and maintained communication with the various vendors to ensure everything from photo video, catering, cake delivery, floral delivery, and more, were all informed and feeling confident on the day ahead. When Raeya and Jason walked in and saw the decor, the were over the moon. The ceremony and the reception ran seamlessly, and overall the guests and our couple were extremely happy and were able to enjoy their special day to the fullest.
